SBHA are looking to appoint an Associate Tenant Board Member. Do you care about your community and understand the issues affecting our residents? Could you bring a fresh perspective and use your skills and knowledge to be part of SBHA’s Board?

We are seeking applications from tenants who are interested in joining our one-year Board Training Programme.

This vacancy will be of particular interest to our tenants who have a strong social purpose, who are passionate about communities and who want to shape and influence SBHA but who feel that they would benefit from a more structured route into being a fully fledged board member. We welcome applications from residents who are committed to learning and developing new skills. Previous housing experience and knowledge is not essential.

Time commitment circa two days a month (to fit around work and other commitments) Reasonable expenses paid plus £1,000 per annum. SBHA operates mainly from their office near Chiswick.

You will need to demonstrate a commitment to SBHA and to the organisations social purpose. We are specifically focussing on under representation in our governance structures and so we are keen to hear from our leaseholders who may be interested in applying.

In return you will be supported to undertake a training programme which includes finance training, housing sector training, networking opportunities and Committee observations.
